Hotel

Guest Services Agent (front desk), Full-Time
Greet, register, check-out and ultimately serve guests' through-out their stay, according to 4 Diamond Service Expectations. Must have at least 2 years previous experience delivering high-quality customer service, knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, and excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Having knowledge of Springer Miller Hotel Management systems and experience working in a 4 Diamond Resort is desirable, but not required. Schedule varies including weekends and holidays.

Housekeeper, Seasonal
Responsible for cleaning guest rooms according to 4 Diamond Service Expectations. Must be available 7 days a week as the schedule changes weekly based on occupancy. Weekends and holidays a must. Duties include but are not limited to cleaning up to 17 guest rooms per day, more if necessary as well as special projects as needed. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team, lift up to 8 pounds; stand/walk/bend for 8 hour shifts, prioritize and organize your work. Understand guest's service needs and solve them proactively.

Preventive Maintenance Engineer, Full-time
Complete assigned work orders for general repair within assigned time frame in order to achieve the utmost operational efficiency of the hotel and its equipment. Performs systematic checks and inspections to aid in the upkeep of the hotel and assists in the established proactive maintenance program in order to prevent malfunctions, breakdowns and general depreciation. Must have basic general maintenance knowledge; ability to read, write and speak English; ability to use, read and understand Volt-Ohm-Meter; responsible for arriving to work on-time for scheduled shift, in all weather conditions, and as called upon; possess a Virginia driver's license with a good record; ability to work weekends consistently and work holidays as needed; and the ability to work independently. Certification in HVAC, Electrical or Plumbing desirable. Schedule varies - day and night shifts.

Loss Prevention Officer, Full-time
Energizing safety throughout the resort; good eye for detail and safety hazards; outgoing and excellent service skills; works well under pressure and remains calm during stressful events; CPR a plus; good communication skills, computer skills and ability to utilize good judgment. Must have a valid Virginia vehicle operator's permit and clean driving record. Ability to work weekends and holidays, and cover different shifts as needed.

Doorperson, Part-time
Create a favorable and helpful approach to all departing and arriving guests by assisting with their luggage, opening doors and providing directions. Must be outgoing, friendly, professional, and fast moving. Previous experience preferred. Must be flexible with schedule.

Bellperson, Full-time
Create a favorable and helpful approach to all departing and arriving guests by assisting with their luggage, provide concierge services, delivering items, and anything for the guests that is needed for AAA 4-Diamond Service Standards. Drive guests to their needed destinations such as the airport, bus station, train station, etc. Must have a valid drivers license with a good driving record, the ability to lift up to 35 pounds and carry luggage up and down stairs. Schedule varies including weekends and holidays.

Groundskeeper, Full-time
Tasks include, but are not limited to, cutting lawns; maintaining trims and edges around walks, flower beds, and walls; prune shrubs and trees; rake and bag leaves; cleans grounds and removes litter; shovels snow from walkways and parking lots; repair fences, gates, walls and walks; clean out drainage ditches and culverts. Some weekend work and whenever needed due to bad weather. Ability to work in weather extremes while completing physical labor.


Food & Beverage

Pastry Cook, Full-time
Assist with the preparation of desserts, pastries, confections, breads and ice cream while exceeding guest expectations. Must have a Culinary degree/diploma from a Pastry school or equivalent experience; a minimum 4 years experience working in Pastries; and the ability to "scale" raw ingredients accurately and practice knowledge of weights and measures. Must be able to work weekends and holidays.

Line Cook, Full-time & Seasonal
Assist the Chef de Cuisine and Sous Chef in the daily planning and production of all meals served from the Kitchen. Essential qualifications: Knowledge of large volume food preparation. At least 2 years Culinary experience at a Four Diamond Restaurant/Hotel. Basic leadership knowledge and problem solving skills. Ability to comprehend, read, write and speak English. Advance knowledge in solids and liquids measurement units. Desirable qualifications: American Culinary Federation Certified Cook/Culinarian. State Food Handler Certification, and knowledge of CPR or First Aid.  Schedule varies and includes nights, weekends and Holidays.

Sous Chef, Full-time
Responsible for assisting all Chefs in culinary operations. Undertake the physical and administrative responsibilities in the relief or assistance of any Chefs as needed. Must have at least 3 years experience as a Sous Chef or in a Lead Cook role; at least 3 years knowledge and experience in managing multiple associates; have Serve Safe Food Sanitation Certification or willingness to become certified. Culinary Associate degree preferred with fine dining experience. Schedule varies, including weekends and holidays.

Banquet Captain
Full-time
Oversee all physical components of Banquet functions and assist in the services of all Banquet functions occurring within scheduled shift. Delegate tasks to all Servers to execute functions based on information from Banquet Event Orders. Must have a minimum of 5 years previous serving experience in a comparable environment; Clean, valid Virginia driver's license; ability to communicate in English, both oral and written. Schedule varies based on business, and includes weekends and holidays.

Banquet Houseman, Part-time
Set-up and break-down various meeting rooms and Banquet events to include meal and corporate meeting set-ups. Work with Banquet Servers to ensure a seamless transition during Banquet "flips." Essential Qualifications: Willingness to work evenings, early mornings and weekends as required; Ability to work quickly and efficiently to provide prompt service; responsible for arriving to work on-time for scheduled shift, in all weather conditions and as called upon; ability to communicate effectively in English.

Backwaiter, Part-time
Assist servers in the restaurant by providing exceptional quality Food & Beverage service according to 4 Diamond Service Expectations. Must be polite, and have a friendly manner when interacting with customers, have the ability to work quickly and efficiently to provide prompt service, the willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required, and have at least 3 months of customer service experience.

Assistant Restaurant Manager, Full-time
Assist and coordinate the food and beverage service of The Old Mill Room, Bistro 1834 and Room Service. Assist Restaurant Manager withthe day-to-day operations, payroll and staff training, etc. Must have at least 2 years supervisory experience in a fine dining restaurant; Experience developing wine and beverage programs; Computer proficiency; Experience directing staff of similar size and quality; Strong budgetary, forecasting and cost control skills. Degree/Diploma in Hospitality Management desirable.

Buffet Runner, Full-time
Responsible for setting-up and maintaining the breakfast and lunch buffets in The Old Mill Room. Schedule is 6:00a.m. – 3:00p.m. Must be able to work weekends and holidays as required, have reliable transportation, and the ability to communicate in English. Previous experience working in a restaurant preferred.

AM Busser, Full-time
Assist servers in the restaurant by providing exceptional quality Food & Beverage service according to 4 Diamond Service Expectations. Must be polite, and have a friendly manner when interacting with customers, have the ability to work quickly and efficiently to provide prompt service, and have at least 3 months of customer service experience.

Cafe Attendant, Seasonal
Serve casual food in a sports facility to members and guest, in a fast paced environment. Must have the ability to multi-task, work well with others, have a polite and friendly demeanor, the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required. Must be at least 18 years old. Previous Food & Beverage customer service experience desirable.

Banquet Server, Full-Time & On-Call
Serve food and beverages to clients at various Banquet events including coffee breaks, breakfast, lunch and dinner. Essential qualifications: At least 2 years of previous serving experience, have a polite and friendly manner. Neat, clean appearance and willingness to follow rules for sanitary food service. Sports Club


Squash Professional,
Part-time
Exceptional opportunity for a driven professional to make positive impact among a diverse facility of members and guests at a variety of levels. Junior Clinic, and adult coaching experience a must. Exceptional customer service necessary. Computer skills needed to book and bill using Boar’s Head’s automated system. U.S. Squash level 1 coaching certification (or equivalent) required as well as AED/CPR certification. Schedule is initially three days per week which will include Saturday’s.

Aqua/Water Aerobics Instructor, On Call
Enthusiastic and motivating instructor needed to lead aqua/water aerobics. Must have at least a primary aerobic certification plus two years of experience. Seasonal June-August. Mon & Wed 8-9 am, possible Friday as well.

Step Class Instructor, On Call
Experienced and energetic step instructor needed to teach Saturdays 9-10am. Must have at least two years teaching experience and a primary aerobic certification to apply. Possible sub opportunities on Tu/Th at 8:30 am.

Member Service Agent, Part-Time & Full-Time
Must greet each member/guest, offering them any assistance they may need. Responsible for answering and handling all incoming calls to the sports club, making tennis reservations, pro shop sales, general housekeeping, and four-diamond customer service standards. Requires use of the resorts fully automated computer system and excellent communication/customer service skills. Schedule varies, weekends and holidays are a must.

Public Space Cleaner, Full-time & Part-time
Responsible for the daily up-keep of all public spaces at The Sports Club. Duties include cleaning all locker room areas and additional bathrooms, stocking towels and paper supplies, vacuuming all carpet areas, cleaning all glass and mirrored surfaces, dusting all furniture and fixtures and other tasks as needed. Maintain contact with several different cleaning agents and work in coordination with other Housekeepers and Sports Club staff. Prior Housekeeping experience is preferred. Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work weekends, holidays and additional hours during special events. Must have knowledge of chemical and cleaning supplies.

Lifeguard, Seasonal
Work outdoors throughout the summer season at the Aquatics facility. Maintain the cleanliness for the pool and surrounding areas. Provide excellent customer service and enforce all policies and procedures to ensure the safety of all patrons. Must have current certifications in lifeguarding, First Aid, CPR for Professional Rescuer, and AED prior to working. Prior lifeguard experience strongly desired. Schedule varies, up to 40 hours per week, Monday through Sunday, 6am – 9pm, late April to end of October.

Head Lifeguard, Seasonal
Duties include, but are not limited too: Assisting Pool Manager in supervising daily operations of pools and pool staff; helping with daily tasks such as filling pools, adding chemicals as needed, as well as informing the Pool Manager what chemicals to order. Must provide pool surveillance with 100% attention and enforce all policies and procedures described in the Aquatics Staff Manual. Must have current certifications as a Lifeguard, First Aid, CPR for Professional Rescuer, and AED prior to working. Previous experience as Head Lifeguard desired. Schedule varies, up to 40 hours per week, Monday through Sunday, 6am – 9pm, late April to end of October.

Recreation Attendant, Part-time
Provide customer service and assistance for Family Fun Programs. Sign-in/sign-out equipment and assist with Recreation Programs as needed. Monitor and maintain orderliness in the gym and office area in order to ensure safety.  Answer phone calls, safety operator for the climbing wall. Assist supervisory staff in accordance with BHSC policies and procedures and any other job duties as requested. Schedule includes 4-5 shifts per week including a weekend shift.

Spa

Spa Receptionist, Part-time
Coordinate all Spa appointments, retail transactions, flow of laundry and daily routines of the Spa while maintaining 4 Diamond Service Expectations. Computer skills and cash handling required. Must be detail oriented and dedicated, customer service experience a plus. Shifts will vary from 8:00am-4:00pm, 10:00am-6:00pm, 12:30pm-8:30pm, Must be able to work weekends.

Spa Manager, Full-time
Direct and coordinate Spa activities, including the direction of Front Desk Receptionists, Nail Technicians and Massage Therapists, to ensure adherence to Boar's Head Standards of Excellence. The Boar's Head Spa has 6 treatment rooms, a nail salon, and hydrotherapy room. Must have College degree or minimum 2 years college preferred; Good communication skills, both orally and written; Computer knowledge and experience; Minimum of 2 years of management or supervisory experience; Proven ability to: Perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy, Prioritize and organize, Resolve problems calmly, using good judgment, Work independently, Understand guests service needs and solve them proactively, Lead a team, Work effectively with managers and co-workers, Ability to work in rotational shifts, if needed, and including holidays and weekends.

Nail Technician, Part-time
Provide treatments to guests that visit The Boar's Head Spa according to 4 Diamond Service Expectations, while excelling in customer service and satisfaction. Must be licensed by the state of Virginia. Previous experience and wax technician license a plus. Flexible schedule, weekends and holidays a must.

Massage Therapist, Full-time
Provide treatments to guests that visit The Boar's Head Spa according to Four Diamond Service Expectations, while excelling in customer service and satisfaction. Must have the following certifications: National Certification/NCBTMB or State of Virginia Board of Nursing Certification. Virginia Licensed Esthetician is a bonus.Prior Spa Resort experience desirable. Schedule: Must be flexible and able to work weekends and holidays. Shifts will vary 8am – 8:30pm.
