  • Banquet Houseman, Full-time
    Set-up and break-down various meeting rooms and Banquet events to include meal and corporate meeting set-ups. Work with Banquet Servers to ensure a seamless transition during Banquet "flips."  Essential Qualifications: Willingness to work evenings, early mornings and weekends as required; Ability to work quickly and efficiently to provide prompt service; responsible for arriving to work on-time for scheduled shift, in all weather conditions and as called upon; ability to communicate effectively in English.
     
  • Outside Service Representative, Seasonal
    Responsible for the entire golf cart fleet and driving range operations, including all related functions. Essential job functions include, but are not limited too: Clean golf carts completely, fill sand bottles and close rain covers, properly store and charge golf carts, retrieve and wash range balls from driving range, properly pick-up and store range baskets.   Must be at least 16 years old with a valid drivers license, strong communication skills, able to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy. Basic golf knowledge and previous experience working at a golf course preferred.
  • Old Mill Room Server, Full-time
    Provide exceptional customer service to guests dining in the Old Mill Room by taking orders, serving guests, satisfying guest needs and following 4 Diamond Service Expectations. Qualifications include, but are not limited too:  Minimum 1 year of serving experience in a fine dining restaurant; ability to up sell by having full knowledge of food, wine and spirit offerings to guests; polite, friendly demeanor; willing to follow rules for sanitary food service; ability to work quickly and efficiently to provide prompt, effective service; ability to operate Micros to enter orders and prepare checks; ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required; at least 21years old to serve alcohol. 
     
  • Sales Manager, Full-time
    Build relationships and book group business and accommodations of 15 rooms or more each night including UVA/educational, corporate, government, association and social markets for specific territories.  Job requirements include, but are not limited to: College degree required; minimum 2 years hotel sales experience with emphasis on Government market; strong communication and organizational skills; proficiency with Delphi, Word & Excel; excellent interpersonal skills and proven ability to act as liaison between customers and all operating departments; experience in Financial Management; good problem solving skills; ability to effectively plan and organize projects, meetings and events. Schedule is 8:30am – 5:30pm, some nights and weekends.
     
  • Nail Technician. Part-time.
    Provide treatments to guests that visit The Boar's Head Spa according to 4 Diamond Service Expectations, while excelling in customer service and satisfaction.  Must be licensed by the state of Virginia. Previous experience and wax technician license a plus.Flexible schedule, weekends and holidays a must.
  • Bistro Server, Full-time
    Provide exceptional customer service to guests dining in Bistro 1834 by taking orders, serving guests, satisfying guest needs and following 4 Diamond Service Expectations. Must have a minimum of one year serving/bartending experience in an upscale restaurant, have the willingness to follow rules for sanitary food service, the ability to operate Micros to enter orders and prepare checks. Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required, and be at least 21 years old to serve alcohol. Schedules are 3:00pm – 11:00pm, 5:00pm – close. 
  • Room Service, Part-time
    Provide exceptional quality in-room dining service by taking orders, serving guests in their rooms and satisfying guest needs according to 4 Diamond Service Expectations. Must have at least 1 year experience in food and beverage service, clear, concise written and verbal communication skills, strong customer service skills, ability to carry 30-40 lb. trays. Previous experience working in an upscale Restaurant/Hotel and working knowledge of Micros desirable. Schedule varies, weekends a must. 
  • Sports Club Line Cook 3, Full-time
    Assist in the daily planning and production of all meals assigned by the Chef de Cusine, Sous Chef and/or Cook I. Must have at least 1 year Culinary experience at a Four Diamond Restaurant/Hotel; State Food Handler Certification; Knowledge of CPR or First Aid. 
  • Pastry Chef, Full-time
    Supervise, coordinate and participate in the activities of all associates engaged in the preparation of desserts, pastries, confections, breads and ice cream while exceeding guest expectations and meeting budgeted goals for Labor and Food Cost. Duties include but are not limited to: Plan and organize Bakeshop daily production according to Banquet Event Order menus, restaurant requisitions and any other special requirement; Supply recipes, suggest methods and train all Bakeshop team members; Work closely with all Chefs in developing and serving their à la carte desserts; Produce daily food ordering in a timely manner and conduct inventory as needed. Must have a minimum 10 years experience as a Pastry Chef in a Hotel or Restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner in multiple outlets, and in a high volume Bakeshop/Pastry shop with multiple accounts; Serve Safe Food Sanitation Certification or willingness to become certified; ACF or equivalent certification, or Culinary Associate degree; Ability to supervise a large staff and accomplish goals on a timely basis; Ability to conduct meetings, menu briefings, interviews and disciplinary documentations.
  • Housekeeping Supervisor, Full-time
    Supervise and motivate Housekeeping employees to achieve the highest level of cleanliness and consistency. Ensure adherence to 4 Diamond Service Expectations at all times. Duties include, but are not limited too ~ Ensure guest rooms are cleaned and quality is maintained; supervise Housekeeping staff;  perform job responsibilities in a safe manner to ensure a safe working environment; prepare reports in the absence of the Executive Housekeeper; report maintenance needs to Engineering; provide guest room tours; support Executive Housekeeper in ensuring competitive pricing of products; prepare payroll reports accurately and on-time; contribute to overall resort team effort by completing additional duties as assigned. Essential qualifications include high school diploma or equivalent; fluency in English, both orally and in writing; ability to work 5-7 days per week in rotational shifts if needed, including holidays and weekends; computer knowledge and experience. Previous management/supervisory experience in housekeeping desirable.
  • Personal Trainer, Full-time
    Create/conduct safe, effective exercise programming and leadership for BHSC members and guests through one-on-one sessions and exercise classes.  Success in this position is driven by the ability to initiate interest and to motivate members to increase/maintain their fitness level.  Degree in Exercise Science, Physiology, or related field required, in addition to a minimum 2 years of customer service experience. CPR/AED certification is a must.
  • Assistant Golf Professional, Full-time
    Overview: Supervise and actively train staff, teach golf, sell/display merchandise and assist with all other golf course related functions as required. Essential job functions include, but are not limited too - Teaching individual golf lessons and provide group instruction; provide professional club fitting and make recommendations per individual golfer; assist and manage club repair procedures; perform and assist with all duties associated with the golf retail operation including inventory management processes; assist with internal and external tournament management such as staging carts, cart sign production, announcements, rules, scoreboard, etc.; provide 4 Diamond Service Expectations to all golf members and guests on a daily basis; complete all golf operations job functions including duties of a Pro Shop Attendant, Outside Service Representative and Starter/Player Assistant such as: overseeing the operation of the Pro Shop on a daily basis including managing a point of sales station and daily Tee Time software sheet, washing/storing/cleaning golf carts and driving range balls/baskets and assisting guests with all starting functions.  Must have a minimum of 3 years previous golf course work experience. Level 2 of the GPTP preferred.  Schedule is Friday through Tuesday, both morning and afternoon shifts. Weekends and various holidays are required.
  • Information Technology Specialist, Full-time
    Provide technical assistance to computer system users.  Answer questions or resolve computer problems for clients in person, via telephone or from remote location.  May provide assistance concerning the use of computer hardware and software, including printing, installation, word processing, electronic mail, and operating systems.  Assist in overseeing the general health of the network and assist the Director of IT and work on specific projects as directed by the Director of IT.  Applicant will participate in the after-hours pager duty and must reside within a reasonable distance of The Boar's Head. Knowledge of and experience with computer hardware and software, including current applications and programming.  Applicant must have experience with a Cisco switched network and current wireless technologies.  Any experience with hospitality software preferred but not required.  Microsoft SQL database experience also a plus.  A degree in Computer Sciences/IT preferred although an appropriate number of years exper ience will compensate.  Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services required for this position.  This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction. Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar. This is a non-exempt position of which overtime will only incur if hours exceed 45 in a varied schedule work week. 
  • Retail Associate,  Part-time
    Provide a high-level of customer service to all patrons in the Inn Store. Must have excellent customer service skills both in person and on the telephone, ability to multi-task, and work independently or as part of a team. Schedule is flexible, however, weekends are a must.
  • Floor Staff, Part-time
    Outgoing, customer service oriented individual needed to greet members and guests, demonstrate proper use of equipment, lead teen workout programs, and clean equipment. CPR/AED certification a plus. Previous workout, athletic experience a must. Must be available Saturday and/or Sunday 7:00am-1:00pm or 1:00pm-6:00pm. Some holidays may be required.
  • Bell Staff/Driver, Full-time
    Create a favorable and helpful approach to all departing and arriving guests by assisting with their luggage, opening doors and providing directions to rooms. Drive guests to their needed destinations such as the airport, bus station, train station, etc. Must have a good driving record, and the ability to lift heavy objects. Previous customer service experience is preferred.Schedule is primarily evening shifts with some mid and morning shifts. 2:30pm – 11:00pm, 10:00am – 6:30pm, 7:00am – 3:30pm. 
  • Yoga Instructor, Part-time & On-Call
    Create and conduct safe, effective exercise leadership for BHSC members and guests. Must be yoga certified through an accredited certification and CPR/AED certified. Classes are Monday – Friday, 9:00am-10:30am, Tuesday and Thursday 5:45pm-7:00pm, Saturday 10:00am-11:30am.
  • Water Aerobics Instructor, Seasonal
    Create and conduct safe, effective exercise leadership for BHSC members and guests. Must be CPR/AED certified, and experience teaching water aerobics. Classes are Monday – Friday 8:00am-9:00am, Tuesday & Thursday 5:45pm.
  • Group Exercise Instructor, Part-time & On-Call
    Create and conduct safe, effective exercise leadership for BHSC members and guests. Experience teaching Step, Hi/Lo, Kickboxing, Boot Camp, and other group fitness classes. Must be Group Fitness certified through an accredited certification and CPR/AED certified. Class schedule varies Monday – Friday, 7:00am-11:30am. Also Monday – Friday 5:30pm-7:00pm, and Saturdays 9:00am-10:00am.
  • STOTT Pilates Instructors, Part-time & On-Call
    Create and conduct safe, effective exercise leadership for BHSC members and guests. Must be STOTT Pilates Mat certified through an accredited certification and CPR/AED certified. Classes are Monday 10:30am & 5:45pm, Wednesday 10:30am, Saturday 9:00am.
  • Cycle Instructor, Part-time
    Create and conduct safe, effective exercise leadership for BHSC members and guests. Must be cycle certified through an accredited certification and CPR/AED certified.Classes are Tuesday & Friday 6:15am, Monday & Wednesday 9:15am, Monday and Thursdays 6:00pm, Saturdays 9:00am.
  • Pro Shop Attendant, Part-time/Seasonal
    Provide a high-level of customer service to all patrons while answering the Pro Shop telephone, performing all daily point of sales functions and managing the tee time reservations system. Experience working in a Pro Shop with knowledge about the game of golf and golfer's needs desirable. Flexible schedule needed, weekends and holidays required.
  • Concierge, Part-time
    Provide guests with personalized service. Assist all guests with a wide scope of service and be a liaison between guests and other internal departments. Ensure accuracy, follow-through and timeliness in all services to guests. Be knowledgeable about Charlottesville and surrounding areas. Must have at least 2 years experience in Hospitality or related service industries, excellent communication skills, both oral and written, ability to stand for duration of scheduled shift, and be a self-motivator. Flexible hours, one to two days per week depending on business levels. Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
  • Food and Beverage Manager, Full-time
    Manage the staff and operations of key food outlets on property, with a focus on the Banquet Operation. This position will involve the cross function management of other resort food outlets, with the primary responsibility being the Banquet operations. Coordinate activities with other departments related to events and assure compliance to the specifics of the event orders to guarantee complete customer satisfaction. Essential qualifications: A minimum 5 years experience working in a Restaurant or Hotel; valid Virginia driver's license; High School degree; ability to communicate in English; responsible for arriving to work on-time for scheduled shift, in all weather conditions and as called upon; strong communication skills; willingness to work evenings, early mornings and weekends.
  • Public Space Cleaner, Part-time & Full-time
    Responsible for the daily up-keep of all public spaces at The Sports Club. Duties include cleaning all locker room areas and additional bathrooms, stocking towels and paper supplies, vacuuming all carpet areas, cleaning all glass and mirrored surfaces, dusting all furniture and fixtures and other tasks as needed. Maintain contact with several different cleaning agents and work in coordination with other Housekeepers and Sports Club staff. Prior Housekeeping experience is preferred. Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work weekends, holidays and additional hours during special events. Must have knowledge of chemical and cleaning supplies.
  • Childcare Provider, Part-time
    Provide and maintain a safe and healthy environment for children to grow and learn while offering creative, athletic and educational activities. Must be at least 18 years of age, with a high school diploma and a minimum of six months experience working with groups of children. Ability to perform light office duties and record keeping required. Experience with children from infant to 12 years of age, and experience in a state regulated program recommended. Planning experience a plus. Flexible schedule Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 7:00pm, Saturdays 9:00am – 1:00pm, and Sundays for special events. Some holidays may be required.

    Serve food and beverages to clients at various Banquet events including coffee breaks, breakfast, lunch and dinner.
