Guest Room Attendant, Part-time & On-call
Responsible for cleaning guest rooms according to 4 Diamond Service Expectations. Must be available Friday, Saturday, and Sunday as well as holidays. Duties include but are not limited to cleaning up to 16 guest rooms per day, more if necessary as well as special projects as needed. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team, lift up to 15 pounds; stand/walk/bend for 8 hour shifts, prioritize and organize your work. Understand guest's service needs and solve them proactively.
Loss Prevention Officer/Security, Full-time
Energizing safety throughout the resort; good eye for detail and safety hazards; outgoing and excellent service skills; works well under pressure and remains calm during stressful events; CPR a plus; good communication skills, computer skills and ability to utilize good judgment. Must have a valid Virginia vehicle operator's permit and clean driving record. Ability to work weekends and holidays, and cover different shifts as needed.
Housekeeping Supervisor, Seasonal (May to September)
We are currently seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor who will partner with the leadership to manage the daily operation of the Housekeeping Department. We are seeking a hands-on manager that is team oriented and willing to work side by side with Staff and Department Heads alike. Must ensure that information is distributed to staff and guests and that guest issues are quickly resolved. Provides direction and leadership to maximize revenue and opportunities and guest satisfaction levels to the standards set by the hotel. Must be able to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines. Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service-oriented manner. Inspect all rooms assigned to Room Attendants on a daily basis to ensure that standards and productivity levels are being met. Ensure records of daily assignments are completed and signed off and turned into the housekeeping office daily. Monitor cleanliness and organization of hotel, work areas and equipment for housekeeping team. Must be able to work nights, weekend and holidays.
Food & Beverage
Responsibilities include cleaning and stocking Housekeeper's closets with glass ware and linens, removing soiled linens and trash, vacuuming hallways as well as other special projects as assigned. Must be able to lift 75+ pounds and stand for long periods of time. Schedule is 8:00am 5:00pm, days off vary with hotel occupancy.
Banquet Captain, Full-time
Oversee all physical components of Banquet functions and assist in the services of all Banquet functions occurring within scheduled shift. Delegate tasks to all Servers to execute functions based on information from Banquet Event Orders. Must have a minimum of 5 years previous serving experience in a comparable environment; Clean, valid Virginia driver's license; ability to communicate in English, both oral and written. Schedule varies based on business, and includes weekends and holidays.
Banquet Houseman, Part-time
Set-up and break-down various meeting rooms and Banquet events to include meal and corporate meeting set-ups. Work with Banquet Servers to ensure a seamless transition during Banquet "flips." Responsible for assisting all Chefs in culinary operations. Undertake the physical and administrative responsibilities in the relief or assistance of any Chefs as needed. Must have at least 3 years experience as a Sous Chef or in a Lead Cook role; at least 3 years knowledge and experience in managing multiple associates; have Serve Safe Food Sanitation Certification or willingness to become certified. Culinary Associate degree preferred with fine dining experience. Schedule varies, including weekends and holidays.

Line Cook, Full-time
Assist the Chef de Cuisine and Sous Chef in the daily planning and production of all meals served from the Kitchen. Essential qualifications: Knowledge of large volume food preparation. At least 2 years Culinary experience at a Four Diamond Restaurant/Hotel. Basic leadership knowledge and problem solving skills. Ability to comprehend, read, write and speak English. Advance knowledge in solids and liquids measurement units. Desirable qualifications: American Culinary Federation Certified Cook/Culinarian. State Food Handler Certification, and knowledge of CPR or First Aid.
Maintain Kitchen and restaurant equipment and utensils in a clean and orderly condition. Duties include, but are not limited to; washing dirty dishes, sweeping and mopping the kitchen floors, segregating and removing trash and garbage and placing in designated containers and contributing to the overall resort team effort by completing additional duties as assigned. Bistro Server, Full-time
Provide exceptional customer service to guests dining in Bistro 1834 by taking orders, serving guests, satisfying guest needs and following 4 Diamond Service Expectations. Must have a minimum of one year serving experience in an upscale restaurant, have the willingness to follow rules for sanitary food service, the ability to operate Micros to enter orders and prepare checks. Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required, and be at least 21 years old to serve alcohol. Schedules are 1:00pm 9:00pm, 3:00pm 11:00pm, 5:00pm close.
Buffet Runner, Full-time
Responsible for setting-up and maintaining the breakfast and lunch buffets in The Old Mill Room. Schedule is 6:00a.m. 3:00p.m. Must be able to work weekends and holidays as required, have reliable transportation, and the ability to communicate in English. Previous experience working in a restaurant preferred.

Head Lifeguard, Seasonal
Duties include, but are not limited too: Assisting Pool Manager in supervising daily operations of pools and pool staff; helping with daily tasks such as filling pools, adding chemicals as needed, as well as informing the Pool Manager what chemicals to order. Must provide pool surveillance with 100% attention and enforce all policies and procedures described in the Aquatics Staff Manual. Must have current certifications as a Lifeguard, First Aid, CPR for Professional Rescuer, and AED prior to working. Previous experience as Head Lifeguard desired. Schedule varies, 40 hours per week, Monday through Sunday, 6am 9pm, late April to end of October.

Step Class Instructor, On-Call
Experienced and energetic step instructor needed to teach Saturdays 9-10am. Must have at least two years teaching experience and a primary aerobic certification to apply. Possible sub opportunities on Tu/Th at 8:30 am.
Member Service Agent, Full-Time & Part-Time
Must greet each member/guest, offering them any assistance they may need. Responsible for answering and handling all incoming calls to the sports club, making tennis reservations, pro shop sales, general housekeeping, and four-diamond customer service standards. Requires use of the resorts fully automated computer system and excellent communication/customer service skills. Schedule varies, weekends and holidays are a must.
Public Space Cleaner, Full-time & Part-time
Responsible for the daily up-keep of all public spaces at The Sports Club. Duties include cleaning all locker room areas and additional bathrooms, stocking towels and paper supplies, vacuuming all carpet areas, cleaning all glass and mirrored surfaces, dusting all furniture and fixtures and other tasks as needed. Maintain contact with several different cleaning agents and work in coordination with other Housekeepers and Sports Club staff. Prior Housekeeping experience is preferred. Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work weekends, holidays and additional hours during special events. Must have knowledge of chemical and cleaning supplies.
Group Exercise Instructor, On-call
Create and conduct safe, effective exercise leadership for BHSC members and guests. Experience teaching Step, Hi/Lo, Kickboxing, Boot Camp, and other group fitness classes. Must be Group Fitness certified through an accredited certification and CPR/AED certified. Class schedule varies.
Personal Trainer, Part-time
Seasoned Personal Trainer with at least 5 years of training experience with all age groups needed. A degree in the field is required along with a genuine passion for motivating others to be and stay fit. Personal training certification is a must.
Nail Technician, On-call
Provide treatments to guests that visit The Boar's Head Spa according to 4 Diamond Service Expectations, while excelling in customer service and satisfaction. Must be licensed by the state of Virginia. Previous experience and wax technician license a plus.

Assist Spa Director in the direction and coordination of the Spa. Must have the following certifications: National Certification/NCBTMB or State of Virginia Board of Nursing Certification; Virginia Licensed Esthetician. Both are required to be considered for the position. Minimum 2 years prior experience as a licensed therapist. Schedule: Must be flexible; Possible 7 days per week 9:00am-2:30pm and/or 2:30pm-8:00pm.
Birdwood Golf Course
Golf Course Maintenance, Seasonal
Operate equipment for routine tasks, such as mowing greens, tees, fairways, and roughs. Perform routine manual labor such as raking/edging sand bunkers, changing cups and pin locations, hand watering greens and tees, and other related work as required. Must be able to work a flexible schedule, to include holidays and weekends. Must have the ability to learn how to operate golf course maintenance equipment, be able to follow instructions, and work independently and as a team. Previous golf course maintenance experience and knowledge of the game of golf desired. Schedule is Monday Friday, 6:30am 3:00pm, and every other weekend, 6:30am 10:30am.

Outside Service Representative, Seasonal
Responsible for the entire golf cart fleet and driving range operations, including all related functions. Essential job functions include, but are not limited too: Clean golf carts completely, fill sand bottles and close rain covers, properly store and charge golf carts, retrieve and wash range balls from driving range, properly pick-up and store range baskets. Must be at least 16 years old with a valid drivers license, strong communication skills, able to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy. Basic golf knowledge and previous experience working at a golf course preferred. (Season begins March 15th)
Executive Assistant, Full-time
Provide support to General Manager for all administrative tasks as well as special assignments and reports. Act as liaison between guests and the Executive Office and assist in resolving guest complaints. Relay any unusual concerns or activities to the General Manager as they arise. Project a positive image of the Executive Office at all times. Manage and handle all UVA related events including but not limited to UVA Foundation, UVA Athletics, and UVA VIP's. The qualified applicant must have the mental acuity, with the ability to reason, problem solve and work independently. Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is required as well as the ability to work under pressure and prioritize multiple work tasks. Two years college education or comparable work experience is preferred.
The Director of Operations, Full-Time
The Director of Operations will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the hotel including Housekeeping, Front Office, Spa, Loss Prevention, Engineering, and Retail. The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of progressive combined experience in hotel rooms operations; a minimum of 3 years as a Director of Room Operations or Director of Resort Operations; a Bachelor's Degree in Business or a Combination of experience and education; excellent communication skills; ability to work through various resort departments to accomplish goals; self-motivated and promote a positive work environment; experience in facilitating change in a hotel or resort preferred; experience with Food & Beverage operations preferred.
